The Homeschool Dojo

The Homeschool Dojo offers martial arts classes to the DFW homeschooling community, taught by a homeschooling family. Coaches Wes and Belle, who are also long-time homeschoolers, aim to provide an affordable program. The program is supported by a generous donor who subsidizes the costs.

The class model uses firm, respect-based discipline, with techniques taught through game-based learning opportunities. Classes are designed to suit children with special needs. The hour-long sessions focus on strength, dexterity, grappling techniques, wrestling-based games, and active live wrestling rounds.

The class schedule features multiple options on Mondays and Wednesdays. Lil Dojo Beginner is available for ages seven and under, and a separate Gymnastics class is offered for ages two to thirteen. Beginner Dojo is for ages four and up, and Intermediate Dojo is for ages ten and older, which is a prerequisite for the Competition Team. To access the competitive family rate, families must verify their homeschool status.
