Monthly Homeschool Class

Long Acres Ranch provides a unique, natural environment for educational activities on 768 acres of undeveloped land along the Brazos River. The venue is accessible by group reservation and promotes the appreciation of nature in a peaceful, open setting.

Monthly "Ology Days" science classes are offered specifically for homeschool families. During these events, families rotate as a unit through approximately six to eight outdoor, hands-on activity stations. Parents are encouraged to help facilitate the learning at each station.

The curriculum covers a new science topic each month, with past classes including studies of spiders, trees, fossils, reptiles, and birds. The lessons are designed to be hands-on and are best suited for children who are readers and writers, typically ages six and up.
